Jamie Welsh

Director

Jamie Welsh brings six years of ARM industry experience to Kaulkin Ginsberg.  Jamie works closely with the Strategic Advisory and Research Group to advise credit grantor, collection agency, debt buyer and vendor executives on mergers & acquisitions, valuations, research, executive recruitment, and operational assessments.

Previously, Jamie worked for Garnet Capital Advisors, a New York based boutique investment bank, specializing in loan sale advisory work. 

While at Garnet, Jamie worked to originate new loan-sale transactions in a broad variety of consumer and commercial product areas, managed debt buyer coverage and investor inquiries in Garnet’s outbound sales process, and provided clients with loan-sale advice pertaining to delinquent, defaulted, sub and non-performing assets.  He also reported in depth analysis and forensic reviews of distressed or underperforming assets and communicated with buyers to sell existing portfolios and respond to inquiries during the bidding process

Prior to Garnet, Jamie spent five years with Thomson/SourceMedia as a Senior Program Development Manager, where he directed a $4.5 million dollar portfolio of events.  There, Jamie managed a portfolio of live events and web seminars for collections and credit risk, banking, investment management, mortgage, card technology, and payments executives. He also managed, restructured and developed the National Collections & Credit Risk and Credit Card Collections Conferences

He holds a Master’s of Social Work Degree from Fordham University, New York, NY and a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Virginia Wesleyan College, Virginia Beach, VA.
