Every spring, summer, and fall, Kaulkin Ginsberg’s analyst team seek out highly qualified and hardworking students from the Greater DC Metropolitan Area. We interview and correspond with dozens of candidates for each iteration, learning about applicants’ interests, goals, and motivations to select the candidates whom we feel would fit in nicely with our tight-knit group. In the past, we’ve talked with undergraduates and Master’s students, finance majors and math specialists, students living in Maryland and Virginia, and those interning in China. All across the board, we enjoy meeting new students who are all eager to gain new experiences and maintain a thirst for learning.
This past semester in fall 2017, Kaulkin Ginsberg selected three new interns, all from the University of Maryland; one was a Master’s of Quantitative Finance, while the other two were undergraduates: one studying finance and operations management, and the other focusing in economics. Our interns assisted our analysts in various finance-related and market research initiatives, ranging from creating complex and thorough financial models for pitch books, to in-depth market analyses of Bitcoin, student loan, and healthcare industries. Our interns collaborated with one another, and the rest of our team, to develop their financial modeling and research techniques, in addition to strengthening their writing skills. Most importantly, our interns have done well in finding subsequent opportunities, utilizing their Kaulkin Ginsberg internship experiences as a foundation for post-graduate success. Lastly, we’ve remained in contact with our interns, as we always love receiving updates from them and learn how we can continue helping them succeed.
Going forward, we’ll continue building out our internship program, selecting students with the greatest work ethic and integrity. We strive to create a program that not only benefits our firm, but one that also provides unique opportunities for students to apply their classroom knowledge and experiences to real-world projects and assignments.
As always, we’re always open to talking with current students interested in our internship program. If interested, please don’t hesitate to contact firstname.lastname@example.org, providing a resume, or simply introducing yourself to our team.
To our fall 2017 interns: thank you for all of your hard work and persistence. You were all vital components to the Kaulkin Ginsberg team over your three-month time here.
