Did you hear about the FAMS sale? …neither did anybody else!

We’re happy to share some of the details of the transaction, now that the sale is complete and our clients agreed we could tell their story:

Challenge:
The two shareholders of Financial Asset Management Systems, Inc. (FAMS) decided to sell their company.  It was critically important that the sale remain confidential in order to preserve the company’s value in the marketplace during the transition.

Solution:
Our industry connections allowed us to quickly identify the right buyer for FAMS without broadly marketing the company for sale.  We quietly facilitated a competitive process with selected buyer candidates while the FAMS management team focused on running their business.  FAMS was acquired by American Capital Strategies, Ltd., with the added benefit that all executives stayed with the company and had an equity stake in the business.

We were vigilant about keeping sale quiet until a closing occurred.
